Immediately runs a scheduled task regardless of its schedule:
  • stored procedure,
  • backup,
  • optimization,
  • refresh of materialized view.

Running a scheduled task immediately Hide the details

<Result> = HExecuteScheduling(<Connection Name> , <Name of Scheduled Task>)
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the scheduled task was run,
  • False if an error occurred. HErrorInfo is used to identify the error.
<Connection Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of connection to use. This connection was defined in the data model editor, or by HDescribeConnection or HOpenConnection.
<Name of Scheduled Task>: hScheduledTask variable
Name of hScheduledTask variable describing the task that triggers a stored procedure.

<Type of Backup>: Optional boolean
Type of backup to perform:
  • True (default value): Differential backup.
  • False: Full backup.
Note: A differential backup can be performed only if the backup task includes a differential scheduling.
