Processes associated with a Web Component
Processes managed by default
WEBDEV manages the following processes by default (in the order in which they appear in the code editor):
ProcessRuntime condition
Global declarations (Server)Declaring the global variables linked to the control.
Initialization (Server)Run when opening the page.
Load (onload) (Browser)Run when loading the component. This process contains the following code line by default:
ExecuteProcess(<Control Name>, trtValueAssignment)
This code line is used to run the "Assigning the ..Value property" process of control.
This allows you to give a value to the control for example.
Submit (onsubmit) (Browser)Run:
  • when validating the page (submit).
  • when running a server action of control.
This process contains the following code line by default:
ExecuteProcess(<Control Name>, trtValueRetrieval)
This code line is used to run the "Retrieving the ..Value property" process of control.
This allows you to store the control value for example.
Action (Browser)Code that can be directly called from the Web Component. Used to run an action via the HTML or Javascript code of control.
Action (Server)Code that can be directly called from the Web Component. Used to run an action via the HTML or Javascript code of control.
Retrieving the ..Value property (Browser)Code used to define the content of ..Value property for the Web Component control.
Assigning the ..Value property (Browser)Code used to assign a value to the Web Component control.
Additional processes
Several additional processes are displayed in the code editor:
  • CSS process: Declaring the CSS styles: Code corresponding to the CSS code of Web component. This code was typed when creating the control.
  • JS process: Initializing the Web component: JS code of Web component. This code was typed when creating the control.
