Moving and customizing the toolbars
Warning
From version 17, the different editors use a menu shaped like a ribbon. The toolbars are not available anymore.
Overview
The icons displayed in the toolbars allow you to quickly access the main features of WINDEV, WEBDEV and WINDEV Mobile. To display or hide a toolbar, all you have to do is select its name in the popup menu of toolbars.
WINDEV, WEBDEV and WINDEV Mobile propose:
  • A standard toolbar. This toolbar is common to all the editors.
  • Toolbars specific to each WINDEV editor.
The tooltips are used to identify the action performed by each icon found in the toolbars.
All the toolbars of WINDEV, WINDEV Mobile and WEBDEV can be defined as:
  • Docked toolbars (fixed or "anchored" to one of the sides of the main window).
  • Floating toolbars (not fixed).
How to move the toolbars?
To move a toolbar:
  1. Select the toolbar:
    • If a toolbar is docked, click the left end of the toolbar.
    • If the toolbar is floating, click the title bar.
  2. Keep the left mouse button down during the move: a shadow indicates the final position of the toolbar.
Note: To prevent the toolbar from being attracted to the sides of the editor, keep the [Ctrl] key down during the move.
How to customize the toolbars?
The content of each toolbar can be entirely customized.
To add an icon into a toolbar:
  1. Open the window for customizing the toolbars ("Display .. Toolbars .. Customize the toolbars").
  2. Drag and Drop an icon from the customization window to the requested location in the toolbar.
To delete an icon from a toolbar:
  1. Open the window for customizing the toolbars ("Display .. Toolbars .. Customize the toolbars").
  2. Drag and Drop an icon from the toolbar to the customization window.
