WPINST: configuring the automatic modification of data files
Overview
The automatic data modification is used to update the description of the HyperFileSQL data files found on the user computers.
Configuring the automatic modification of data files in WPINST
The automatic modification of data files must be configured in the description of each ".EXE" file that is using data files to modify.
See interface of WPINST for more details.
The paragraphs below present the automatic modification of data files in HFSQL format.
Note: From version 19, HFSQL is the new name of HyperFileSQL.

Automatic modification of data files in HFSQL Mobile format

To perform the automatic modification of data files in HFSQL Mobile format:
  1. In the list of files to install, select the executable file (".EXE")) on which the automatic modification of data files must be performed.
  2. Select the "HyperFileSQL" tab.Select the "HFSQL" tab.
  3. Check "Manage the automatic data modification".
  4. Click the "Advanced" button.
  5. Select the analysis in HFSQL format (".WDD" file) associated with the application.
    If the specified analysis is password protected at run time, enter this password.
  6. In the "Files" tab, for each data file of the analysis, specify (if necessary) the password of the data file (if it exists) in the analysis in HFSQL format.
    Note: To modify this password, check "Modify the password" and type the new password twice.
  7. If HFSQL Client/Server connections are used, specify in the "HyperFileSQL Client/Server connections" tab the connections that must be taken into account for the automatic modification of data files. If HFSQL Client/Server connections are used, specify in the "HFSQL Client/Server connections" tab the connections that must be taken into account for the automatic modification of data files.
