Overview
Merging databases is used to group the projects of several databases in a single database.
Several cases may occur:
  • The full import of the database.
  • The partial import of the database (selection of one or more projects).
How to proceed?

Importing projects from another database

To import projects from another database:
  1. Check in all the projects.
  2. Open the SCM administrator ("SCM .. SCM administrator").Open the SCM administrator: on the "SCM" pane, in the "Database" group, expand "Manage" and select "SCM administrator". The selected SCM database will be the target database. The SCM administrator must be opened in Admin mode.
Caution: This operation must be performed by a single developer.
  3. In the SCM administrator, select the source SCM database via "Tools .. Import a SCM database". A wizard allows you to specify the import parameters. In the SCM administrator, select the source SCM database: on the "Home" pane, in the "SCM database" group, click "Import a database". A wizard allows you to specify the import parameters.
  4. Select the type of import. Two types of imports are available:
    • full import
    • partial import. In case of partial import, you have the ability to select the projects to import.
  5. Save the databases. You can save the two "target" and/or "source" databases.
Notes:
  • Importing a database can be performed regardless of the project type (WINDEV, WEBDEV, WINDEV Mobile).
  • Importing a database can take quite a long time.
