  • from a square matrix (the number of rows is equal to the number of columns)
  • if the determinant (returned by MatDeterminant) is not null.

ResReverse = MatInvert("MyMatrix", "MyReverseMatrix")
Syntax
<Result> = MatInvert(<Name of Matrix to Reverse> , <Name of Reverse Matrix>)
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the inversion was performed,
  • False otherwise. To find out the error details, use ErrorInfo associated with the errMessage constant.
<Name of Matrix to Reverse>: Character string (with quotes)
Name of the matrix to reverse, defined by MatCreate.
<Name of Reverse Matrix>: Character string (with quotes)
Name of the reverse matrix, automatically created during the inversion.
Remarks

Existence of reverse matrix

The matrix existence is not checked. This matrix is overwritten if it existed beforehand. To check the matrix existence, use MatExist.

Identical matrices

A WLanguage error occurs if <Name of Matrix to Reverse> and <Name of Reverse Matrix> are identical.
