Overview
The PALM functions allow you to:
  • Create messages for the different databases of the Palm Pilot (notepad, task list, address book and calendar) in a WINDEV application and add them to the Palm Pilot records. See Modifying the Palm Pilot data for more details.
  • Read the messages coming from the different databases of a Palm Pilot in a WINDEV application. See Reading the data of a Palm Pilot for more details.
Note: These functions can be used with any PDA that is using Palm OS.
PALM functions
FileToPalmSends the current record found in a HyperFileSQL data file in memo format to the Notepad database of Palm Pilot.
PalmAddAdds a record into one of the Palm Pilot databases (notepad, task list, address book or calendar).
PalmCloseCloses an access to one of the Palm Pilot databases (notepad, task list, address book or calendar).
PalmDeleteDeletes the current record from a view of records for a Palm database (created by PalmLoad).
PalmFilterFilters the records of an access to one of the Palm Pilot databases (notepad, task list, address book or calendar).
PalmInstallAutomatically configures the Palm Pilot program (HotSync.EXE) to allow the communication with an application developed in WLanguage.
PalmListCategoryLists the different categories available for the current access.
PalmListUsersLists the different users of the Palm Pilot defined by HOTSYNC.EXE.
PalmLoadInitializes an access to a PALM database.
PalmModifyModifies the current record.
PalmNbRecReturns the number of records found in a specific access to a PALM database.
PalmOutUsed to find out whether the record of a PALM database onto which we want to be positioned is outside the PALM file or filter.
PalmPositionPositions on the record identified by its position in the specified access and reads it.
PalmRAZRe-initializes the PALM structure.
PalmReadReads information regarding the current record during an access to a Palm Pilot database.
PalmReadFirstPositions on the first record in the specified access and reads it.
PalmReadLastPositions on the last record in the specified access and reads it.
PalmReadNextPositions on the next record in the specified access and reads it.
PalmReadPreviousPositions on the previous record of specified access and reads it.
PalmRefreshRefreshes the current accesses to a PALM database according to the last modifications performed on this database (addition, deletion or modification of records).
PalmResetRe-initializes the configuration of Palm Pilot program (HotSync.EXE) if a problem occurs.
PalmToStringReads a record (memo) found in the Notepad database of the Palm Pilot in character string format.
PalmUninstallRestores the initial configuration of the Palm Pilot (HotSync.EXE).
StringToPalmSends a character string to the "Notepad" database of PALM.
