Stored procedures
Modifies the content of a line in the query result.
Note: SQLModify is used to modify the line stored in memory without having to re-run the initial query to retrieve the result of initial query. This function must be used during a SQLFirst/SQLCol browse of query result. See Types of SQL browse for more details.

SQLModify("SELECTQRY", SQL.Current, CustomerNum + TAB + "34000" + TAB + City)
Syntax
SQLModify(<Query Name> , <Line Number> , <Line Value>)
<Query Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of query created and run by SQLExec (with quotes), or run by SQLExecWDR (with or without quotes).
Java The queries created in the query editor must be specified in the format of a character string with quotes.
<Line Number>: Integer
Number of the query line to update.
<Line Value>: Character string (with quotes)
New value for the line. If the line contains several elements, the values are separated by TAB characters.
Remarks
  • SQLModify does not modify the table content but the content of query result found in memory.
  • The value passed in parameter is modified in the memory table associated with the query, for the specified line.
  • To modify the table of connected database, an UPDATE query must be run by SQLExec.
