Overview
WDTest allows you to merge two scripts.

This feature is used to:
  • Create a script made of the operations from two scripts.
  • Add operations at the end of a recorded script.
Principle of merging

The principle for merging scripts is as follows:

Script A and script B have been recorded beforehand.

The merge operation is used to:
  • copy all the operations of script A at the end of the operations in script B,
  • copy all the operations of script B at the end of the operations in script A.
Once the two scripts have been merged, you can automatically delete the script whose operations have been copied.

Tips:

  • The script in which the operations have been copied is modified. To keep the initial version of this script, don't forget to copy the script before the merge operation.
  • The recording of your script has been stopped because of an unexpected event (phone call, etc.).
There is no need to record all your operations again. All you have to do is:
    • record a new script containing the missing operations,
    • merge these two scripts.
How to proceed?

To merge two test scripts:

  1. In WDTest, check the two scripts to merge.
  2. Click the "Merge" button.
  3. Select the script whose operations must be copied.
  4. Choose (if necessary) to delete the script whose operations have been copied.
  5. Validate.
