WDSurveillance: Creating the monitoring service
Warning
From version 15, this feature is not available anymore. You now have the ability to monitor a Web server via the Monitoring robot.
Overview
WDSurveillance is a module used to configure the monitoring service. This module must be installed on the computer from which monitoring will be done.
Creating the monitoring service
To create the monitoring service:
  1. Start WDSurveillance (double-click "WDSurveillance.EXE").
  2. Install the monitoring service if necessary ("Install the service" button).
  3. Specify the different servers to monitor. See "Configuring the server to monitor" for more details.
  4. Start the monitoring service if necessary ("Start the service" button).
Configuring the servers to monitor
To configure the different servers to monitor:
  1. Click the "New" button.
  2. Enter the name of the server. This name is used to identify the server. The description window of the server parameters is opened. See WDSurveillance: Parameters of server to monitor for more details.
  3. Validate the description of the server parameters.
