VisibleOutsideWindow is used to:
  • find out whether a button is visible even if its position (X,Y) places it outside the border of the window (entirely or partially).
  • modify the visibility of an "off-window" button.
Caution: To use ..VisibleOutsideWindow, the current window must have a clipped border. Otherwise, the property has no effect.
Example
// Places the OK button below the window
BTN_OK..Y = MyWindow..Height + 10
// Makes the button invisible
BTN_OK..VisibleOutsideWindow = True
Syntax

Finding out whether a button is visible outside the window Hide the details

<Result> = <Button name>..VisibleOutsideWindow
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the button is visible outside the window,
  • False otherwise.
<Button name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of button to use.

Modifying the visibility of a button placed outside the window Hide the details

<Button name>..VisibleOutsideWindow = <Visibility>
<Button name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of button to use.
<Visibility>: Boolean
  • True if the button must be visible outside the window,
  • False otherwise.
Remarks
  • The button will not be visible if it is positioned above the window or on the left of the window (..Y<0 or ..X<0). To be made visible or invisible, the button must be positioned on the right of the window or below the window.
  • The button will not be visible if the ..Visible property of the button is set to False.
