Software Factory: Rights management
To secure the execution of action plans, it is possible to implement a rights management system. This system can be implemented by users logged in as "Administrator" in the Control Center database. This means it will be possible to define different rights for an intern and an experienced developer, for example. You can define rights for: For each element, one or more rights can be assigned. One of the following values can be specified for each rights: | | Allowed | The user is authorized to use the functionality. | Forbidden | The user is not authorized to use the. If the user attempts to use this feature, a message indicates that the user does not have sufficient rights to use this feature. | Inherited | The rights are undefined at this level. The right defined at the higher level is used:- right defined at action plan level for a parameterized action plan.
- right defined at library level for an action plan.
- right defined at software factory level for a library.

Available rights and implementation Software factory rights The various rights available available on the software factory are as follows: - Add or delete action plan parameters.
- Modify action plan parameters.
- Run an action plan.
- Add, modify or delete an action plan library.
- Change the software factory configuration. This right concerns:
- add, pause or delete an automation device.
- modification of PLC priority order.
- add or remove labels.
- modification of PLC labels.
- modification of environment variable values.
To define these rights: - Launch the Software Factory administrator: under "Tools", in the "Utilities" group, click on "WDFAdmin".
- In the window that is displayed, specify the name of the coordinator to which the administrator must connect.
- The Software Factory administrator starts.
- In the "Options" tab, click on "Software factory rights".
- Indicate the sufficient rights for each user and then apply the changes.
Library rights The different rights available on a library are as follows: - Add or delete action plan parameters
- Modify action plan parameters
- Run an action plan
- Add, modify or delete an action plan library
To define these rights: - Launch the Software Factory administrator: under "Tools", in the "Utilities" group, click on "WDFAdmin".
- In the window that is displayed, specify the name of the coordinator to which the administrator must connect.
- The Software Factory administrator starts.
- In the "Warehouse" tab, select a library, then click on "Edit library".
- In the library description, click on "Library rights".
- Indicate the sufficient rights for each user and then apply the changes.

- In the "Action plans" tab, select a set action plan, then click on "Modify settings".
- In the action plan description, click on "Rights".
- Indicate the sufficient rights for each user and then apply the changes.
