Syntax

Finding out whether an element is grayed Hide the details

<Result> = <Element name>..Grayed
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the element is grayed,
  • False otherwise.
<Element name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of element to use:
  • Name of control,
  • Name of group of controls,
  • WINDEV Mobile Name of the window.

Modifying the grayed status for an element Hide the details

<Element name>..Grayed = <New value>
<Element name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of element to use:
  • Name of control,
  • Name of group of controls,
  • WINDEV Mobile Name of the window.
<New value>: Boolean
  • True if the element must be grayed,
  • False otherwise.
Remarks

Equivalence

..Grayed set to True is equivalent to ..State equal to the Grayed constant except for the read-only controls that keep their "read-only" status.

Limits

WINDEV Mobile ..Grayed applies to all types of controls (except for the cells of status bars).
Universal Windows 10 App ..Grayed has no effect on the HTML controls.

iPhone/iPad ..Grayed used on an option of a popup menu allows you to make this option invisible.
