..RulerVisible is used to:
  • Find out whether a ruler is visible in a TimeLine control.
  • Make a ruler visible or invisible in a TimeLine control.
Reminder: The ruler of a TimeLine control corresponds to a "bold" vertical line used to view a specific moment in the control. The style of the ruler is defined in the "Style" tab of the TimeLine control ("Selected time" element).

Syntax

Finding out whether a ruler is visible Hide the details

<Result> = <Control Name>..RulerVisible
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the ruler is visible in the control,
  • False otherwise.
<Control Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the TimeLine control used.

Making a ruler visible/invisible Hide the details

<Control Name>..RulerVisible = <Visible/Invisible>
<Control Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the TimeLine control used.
<Visible/Invisible>: Boolean
  • True if the ruler must be visible,
  • False otherwise.
Remarks
  • The ruler can be modified by the user:
    • if "Modifiable pager" is checked in the description window of the TimeLine control.
    • if ..RulerModifiable is set to True.
  • The ruler is visible to the user:
    • if "Pager visible" is checked in the description window of the TimeLine control.
    • if ..RulerVisble is set to True.
  • The default position of the ruler corresponds to ..StartTotalRange.
  • The end user can modify the value of the ruler by moving the line with the mouse. This action triggers the "Modifying the TimeLine control" process.
  • The new position of the ruler is returned by ..RulerValue.
