Creates a directory on a Hadoop server.
Example

MyConnection is hdfsConnection
MyConnection.namenode = "MyServer"

hdfsOpenConnection(MyConnection)
// Define the rights
Rights is hdfsRights
Rights.UserReading = True
Rights.UserWriting = True
// Create the directory
hdfsCreateDirectory(MyConnection, "/tmp/subdirectory", Rights)
Syntax
<Result> = hdfsCreateDirectory(<Connection> , <Path> [, <Rights>])
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the directory was created,
  • False if a problem occurs. ErrorInfo is used to identify the error.
<Connection>: hdfsConnection variable
Name of the hdfsConnection variable that corresponds to connection to the Hadoop server.
<Path>: Character string
Absolute path of directory that will be created on the Hadoop server. This path is case sensitive.
<Rights>: Optional hdfsRights variable
Name of hdfsRights variable corresponding to the rights that will be granted to the created directory.
By default, all the rights are granted to all the users.
