To create a Link control associated with an item containing an email address

1. In the page editor, click (or select "Insert .. Control .. Link").On the "Creation" pane, in the "Usual controls" group, click "Link".
2. Click the position where the control will be created in the page. The control appears in creation mode.
3. Display the description window of control ("Description" from the popup menu).
4. Click the "Other actions" button.
5. Select the action "Send an email to ..." and validate the window for defining actions.
6. Display the "Details" tab and select:
   • "Prefix the URL automatically".
   • "Value represents the URL of the link".
7. Display the "Link" tab and select the item linked to the control.
8. Validate the control description.

RAD Page trick: Automatically creating the link associated with the email address

1. In the data model editor, display the window of items for the relevant file ("Description of items" from the popup menu).
2. Select the item containing an email address.
3. Display the "RAD" tab.
4. Select the "Link" element in the "Control created by RAD" combo box. The description window of the Link control created by RAD is displayed.
5. Click the "Other actions" button.
6. Select the action "Send an email to ..." and validate the window for defining actions.
7. Display the "Details" tab and make sure that the following options are checked:Display the "GUI" tab and make sure that the following options are checked:
   • "Prefix the URL automatically".
   • "..Value represents the link URL".
8. Validate the control description and the window for file items.
9. Generate the analysis ("Analysis .. Generation").Generate the analysis: on the "Analysis" pane, in the "Analysis" group, expand "Generation" and select "Generation".
