The spMatchesDescription property determines if the parameters (key derivation function, hash algorithm, iteration count and output length) of the item of type "Password" in the data file match the parameters described programmatically or in the analysis.
These parameters may be different if they have been changed in the file description. The automatic data modification does not recalculate passwords (this would require the user's password). This may result in a mismatch between the actual password parameters and the desired parameters in the file description.
Example
// Check the parameters of PasswordItem in the Authentication data file
IF Authentication.PasswordItem.spMatchesDescription = False THEN
Info("Please change your password.")
END
Syntax
<Matching parameters> = <Data file>.<Item>.spMatchesDescription
<Matching parameters>: Boolean
  • True if the parameters of the secure password that were described match those in the data file,
  • False otherwise.
<Data file>: Character string
Name of the file used. This name was defined in the data model editor or with the File Description type.
<Item>: Character string
Name of the item used. This name was defined in the data model editor or with the Item Description type.
