DisplayEnabled (Property)
In french: AffichageActif
..DisplayEnabled is used to:
  • find out whether the display of a control or window is enabled or not. If the display is enabled, the content of the control is refreshed on a regular basis.
  • enable (or not) the display of a control or window.
This property enables you to optimize the processes in which one or more controls must be used. The control or window is displayed once it has been processed.
Example
// Add 1000 elements into a Table control
// The Table control is not redisplayed after each addition
TABLE_TABLE1..DisplayEnabled = False
// Add
I is int
FOR I = 1 TO 1000
TableAdd(TABLE_TABLE1, MyCalculationRowContent(I))
END
// Enable the display of the Table control
TABLE_TABLE1..DisplayEnabled = True
Syntax

Finding out the current display mode Hide the details

<Result> = <Element Name>..DisplayEnabled
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the display of the element is enabled,
  • False otherwise.
<Element Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the control or window to use.

Modifying the current display mode Hide the details

<Element Name>..DisplayEnabled = <Display Mode>
<Element Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the control or window to use.
<Display Mode>: Boolean
  • True to enable the display of the element,
  • False to disable the display of the element.
Remarks
  • ..DisplayEnabled must never remain set to False. Indeed, this value must be a temporary value (when filling a Table control for example). Otherwise, unexpected effects may occur (100% of the processor is used by Windows to display the control while this display is disabled).
  • ..DisplayEnabled cannot be used on the container controls like an Internal Window control for example.
Minimum required version
  • Version 9
