..MinWidth is used to find out and modify the minimum width of a control or window.
The minimum width of controls and windows is set to 0 by default. However, some controls cannot be resized below the size of their border.
Reminder: The minimum width of a control or window is used during the following operations:
  • Window resized by the user.
  • Management of anchors.
  • Window resized by programming (..Width or WinSize).

Finding out the minimum width of an element Hide the details

<Current Minimum Width> = <Element Name>..MinWidth
<Current Minimum Width>: Integer
Minimum width of the specified element (including the border) expressed in pixels.
<Element Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the element (window or control) whose minimum width must be calculated.

Modifying the minimum width of an element Hide the details

<Element Name>..MinWidth = <New Minimum Width>
<Element Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the element (window or control) whose minimum width must be modified.
<New Minimum Width>: Integer
New minimum width of the element (including the border) expressed in pixels.
Remarks

Initial width (control and window)

The initial width (defined in the editor) is returned by ..InitialWidth.
In most cases, the width of an element depends on ..MaxWidth and ..MinWidth. However, this constraint disappears when the width is modified by programming (..Width or WinSize).

Width of a column in a Table control

When modifying the width of a column in a Table control (..Width), the minimum width must also be modified (..MinWidth) if the specified width is less than the minimum width of the column (otherwise, the modification will be ignored.
