Remark: The HFSQL thumbnails of an item are automatically generated when the following operations are performed:

- Empty string ("") if the specified thumbnail was successfully generated,
- Error message otherwise.
An empty string ("") is also returned:
- if <N> is greater than the number of thumbnails described for the item. To get the number of thumbnails in a given item, use the NbDescribedThumbnail property.
- if the current record was written by a Hyper File 9 (or earlier) engine (see the Notes).
<Data file>: Character string
Name of the data file used. This name was defined in the data model editor or with the File Description type.
<Item>: Character string
Name of binary memo item used. This name was defined in the data model editor or with the Item Description type.
<N>: Optional integer
Number of the thumbnail used. If this parameter is not specified, the generation information of the first thumbnail is returned.
The InfoThumbnailGeneration property is available:
- in HFSQL Classic: on the items of a data file, view or query.
- in HFSQL Client/Server mode: on the items found of a data file only.
property is only available on data file items in HFSQL Client/Server.
