Condensed (Property)

In french: Condensé

..Condensed is used to:

Find out whether a Font variable is condensed.
Condense (or not) a Font variable.

Remark: The width of the characters of a font can be:

Normal: the width of characters is normal.
Condensed: the width of characters is reduced (..Condensed)
Extended: the width of characters is increased (..Extended)
Large: the width of characters is increased to the maximum (..Large)

Syntax

Finding out whether a Font variable is condensed Hide the details

<Result> = <Font>..Condensed

<Result>: Boolean

True if the specified font is condensed,
False otherwise.

<Font>: Font variable

Name of Font variable to use.

Condensing (or not) a Font variable Hide the details

<Font>..Condensed = <Condensed/Not condensed>

<Font>: Font variable

Name of the Font variable to use.

<Condensed/Not condensed>: Boolean

True if the specified font must be condensed,
False otherwise.

Remarks

Font variable

A font can be created from a Font variable.

To define the font characteristics, use:

FontCreate,
..Charset, ..Orientation, ..StrikeOut, ..Color, ..Extended, ..Bold, ..Italic, ..Large, ..Name, ..Underline and ..Size.

This font can be used:

To write text in drawings (dFont).
To write in charts (grLabelFont, grLegendFont, grTitleFont and grAxisTitleFont).
To print (iFont).
In the controls of a window (..Font property of controls in a window).
In the controls of a report (..Font property of controls in a report).

Limits

The properties used to define the width of the characters (..Condensed, ..Extended and ..Large) are supported only if the specified Font variable is used for the print (print font or font of controls in a report).

In the other cases (font used for the drawings, the charts or the window controls), these characteristics are ignored.

How to browse local help?

All you have to do is configure your product as follows:

Go to "Home .. Options .. General options of …".
In the "Help" tab, select "Use the local help database" and specify (if necessary) the path of the "Help" directory of your product.
Validate. The help used by default will be the local help installed on your computer.
