HUnlockRecNum (Function)
In french: HDébloqueNumEnr
ODBCOLE DBNot available with these kinds of connection
Unlocks a record that was locked by:
  • HLockRecNum,
  • a read function used with a locking parameter (for example, HRead used with the hLockWrite or hLockReadWrite constant)
Note: HUnlockRecNum cannot be used to unlock a record locked by another application.
Note: From version 19, HFSQL is the new name of HyperFileSQL.
Example
// Lock
HLockRecNum(CUSTOMER, hCurrentRecNum, hLockReadWrite)
// Modify the record
...
// Unlock
HUnlockRecNum(CUSTOMER, hCurrentRecNum)
Syntax
<Result> = HUnlockRecNum([<File name> [, <Record number>]])
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the record was unlocked,
  • False if a problem occurred. HError is used to identify the error.
<File name>: Optional character string (with or without quotes)
Name of data file used.
If this name is not specified, HUnlockRecNum handles the last data file used by the last function for HFSQL management (starting with the letter H).
<Record number>: Optional integer
Number of the record to unlock.
If this number is not specified (equal to 0 or to the hCurrentRecNum constant), HUnlockRecNum handles the current record.
Native Connectors (Native Accesses) HUnlockRecNum only unlocks the current record. You cannot specify a record number other than the current one (to specify the current record number, use the hCurrentRecNum constant).
Remarks
HUnlockRecNum has no effect if:
  • The data file is in single-user mode (see HMode).
  • The record is not locked.
