Returns the date and time of last write operation performed on a record in a HFSQL data file (Classic or Client/Server).
Remark: From version 19, HFSQL is the new name of HyperFileSQL.

Syntax
<Result> = HRecordDate([<File name> [, <Record number>]])
<Result>: Character string
  • Date and time of last write operation in YYYYMMDDHHMMSS format. The date and time are expressed in UTC format (Universal Time Coordinated).
  • Empty string ("") if an error occurred or if this feature is not supported by the file.
<File name>: Optional character string (with or without quotes)
Name of data file used.
If this name is not specified, HRecordDate handles the last data file used by the last function for HFSQL management (starting with the letter H).
<Record number>: Optional 8-byte integer
Number of the record used.
If this parameter is not specified, HRecordDate handles the current record.
Remarks

Which date and time will be taken into account?

The date and time (precise to the second) are the ones of the last write operation that was performed on the record by HAdd, HModify, HCross, HDelete or by any feature performing a write operation into the data files (automatic modification of data files, import function, reindex operation, implementation of integrity rules, ...).

Limitation

This function is not available when accessing a database via Remote Access.
