Retrieves the return value of an element found in a memory zone. // Retrieve the return value of element 7 // found in "MyMemoryZone" ResRetrieve = MemRetrieve("MyMemoryZone", 7)
Syntax
<Result> = MemRetrieve(<Memory area> , <Index>)
<Result>: Character string - Return value of the specified element (defined by MemAdd or MemModify),
- Empty string ("") if the specified element was not found.
<Memory area>: Character string Name of the memory area, defined by MemCreate. <Index>: Integer Index of the element to use. The index of an element is returned by MemCurrent or MemSeek. Remarks Existence of memory area The existence of the memory zone is not checked. If the specified memory area does not exist, a WLanguage error occurs when MemRetrieve is used. To check the existence of a memory area, use MemExist. Positioning in the memory area MemRetrieve does not set the position on the element used. To set the position on the <Index> element, use MemSetPosition. Business / UI classification: Neutral code
