Overview
The HFSQL Control Center is used to manage the different HFSQL databases (Network, Mobile, Client/Server) as well as the external databases.
Remark: From version 19, HFSQL is the new name of HyperFileSQL.

Starting the HFSQL Control Center

To start the HFSQL Control Center:
  • from WINDEV, WEBDEV or WINDEV Mobile: on the "Tools" tab, in the "Database" group, click "HFSQL".
  • run "CCxx0HF.EXE" directly.

Use conditions

The HFSQL Control Center can be redistributed.
Features of HFSQL Control Center
The HFSQL Control Center is used to manage:
Options of CCHF
  • The HFSQL Client/Server databases. You have the ability to get information and to handle:
    • the server : Stop, restart, server configuration, definition of users, scheduled tasks, backups.
    • the database : Description, search, backup, maintenance of data files, transactions, ...
    • each database file : Description, content, search, log, transactions, ...
  • The HFSQL Classic files. You have the ability to get information and to handle each database file : Description, content, search, log, transactions, ...
  • An analysis. You have the ability to get information and to handle all the data files of the analysis. These data files can be:
    • HFSQL Client/Server,
    • HFSQL Classic,
    • External databases
  • The external databases. You have the ability to get information and to handle data files not in HFSQL format:
    • Oracle,
    • SQL Server
    • MySQL
    • etc.
  • An HFSQL cluster. You have the ability to get information and to handle HFSQL Cluster data files.
HFSQL Control Center options
The HFSQL Control Center proposes several general options regarding the available features. To display these options:
  1. Expand the HFSQL Control Center menu ( ).
  2. Select "Options".
The available options are:
  • Display the "x" icon to view the specified passwords: Used to display an eye beside the "Password" controls. All you have to do is click this icon to see the password typed.
  • Display image memos only if the quality of the connection to the HFSQL server is sufficient: If this option is not checked, the image memos will always be displayed. If this option is checked, the images memos will be displayed only if the quality of the connection is sufficient. This option is used to optimize the accesses and the data display.
  • Display the system database of HFSQL servers (requires the rights to connect to the database): Used to display the system database of HFSQL servers.
  • Versions 26 and later
    Remember displayed tabs (HFSQL Client/Server connections only): This option saves the open views (tabs displaying information about the server, database, data file , query, etc.) if the Control Center is closed or disconnected. Tabs are automatically restored next time the Control Center is opened. This option is selected by default.
    The "reset" option resets the saved views.
