Merges several existing PDF files into a single PDF file. The passwords of different PDF files are supported. The files are merged one after another.

Syntax
<Result> = PDFMergeWithPassword(<Result PDF file> , <PDF file 1> , <PDF Password 1> , <PDF file 2> , <PDF Password 2> [, <PDF file 3> , <PDF password 3> [... [, <PDF file N> , <PDF Password N>]]])
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the result file was generated,
  • False otherwise. For more details on the error, use ErrorInfo.
<Result PDF file>: Character string (with quotes)
Name and full path of PDF file to create. This file will contain the PDF files that have been merged.
<PDF file 1>: Character string (with quotes)
Name and full path of first PDF file to merge.
<PDF Password 1>: Character string (with quotes)
  • Password for opening the first PDF file,
  • Empty string ("") if the file has no password.
<PDF file 2>: Character string (with quotes)
Name and full path of second PDF file to merge.
<PDF Password 2>: Character string (with quotes)
  • Password for opening the second PDF file,
  • Empty string ("") if the file has no password.
<PDF file 3>: Optional character string (with quotes)
Name and full path of 3rd PDF file to merge.
<PDF password 3>: Optional character string (with quotes)
  • Password to open the third PDF file.
  • Empty string ("") if the file has no password.
<PDF file N>: Optional character string (with quotes)
Name and full path of Nth PDF file to merge.
<PDF Password N>: Optional character string (with quotes)
  • Password for opening the Nth PDF file,
  • Empty string ("") if the file has no password.
Remarks
  • The PDF files protected by an admin password cannot be merged.
  • Up to version 18:
    • This function only generates PDF files in version 1.4.
    • The merge is not supported by the PDF files in version 1.5 and later.
  • From version 19, the PDF files in version 1.5 are supported by WINDEV and WEBDEV.
  • The bookmarks found in the PDF files are not kept by the merge operation.
