The hdfsConnection type is used to define the advanced characteristics of a connection to the Hadoop file system (HDFS). The characteristics of this connection can be defined and modified by several WLanguage properties.

Properties specific to the description of hdfsConnection variables

The following properties can be used to handle a connection:
Property nameType usedEffect
namenodeCharacter stringDNS name or IP address of "Name Node" (server) of Hadoop cluster.
UserCharacter stringName of user.

Remark: These properties can be handled by using one of the following syntaxes:
  • <Variable name>..<Property name>
  • <Variable name>.<Property name>
