Overview
To force an action on a window, all you have to do is define a button of this window in "Automatic execution" mode. The principle is very simple, if no button has been used for a given period of time, the process of the "Automatic execution" button will be automatically executed.
At runtime, the duration is automatically decremented. When it reaches zero, the code of the button is automatically run. This mechanism is automatically stopped in the following cases:
  • when the user clicks a button.
  • if the user modifies a control.
  • if the user presses any keyboard key.
Remark: The user has the ability to add a timer onto the button. This is one of the Automatic Application Features (AAF). For more details, see Timer on button.

  • in the Button control description ("Details" tab):
    Control description
A message indicates whether several automatic execution buttons have been defined in the window.
