26. Style sheets: to simplify the layout

Style sheets are templates used to standardize the layout of controls in pages.
Style sheets are used to define:
  • the size and layout of your texts, the font,
  • the alignment of your paragraphs, the paragraph indents, ...
  • the style of the text (bold or italic), its color, ...
And much more.
When a style characteristic is modified, all the controls associated with this style are updated. This gives you the ability to modify the style book of a site by only making a few modifications to the styles used.
Use example of a style sheet: increasing the size from 9 to 16:

Remark: "Custom CSS" tab enables you to enter CSS code directly. Then, this code will be added into the style sheet.
