The "Dictionary" pane
Warning
From version 24, this feature is kept for backward compatibility. It is recommended to use window, page, report and control templates to reuse elements combined with the Source Code Manager (SCM).
Overview
The "Dictionary" pane is used to handle the WINDEV dictionaries (".DIC" files). You can:
  • create a dictionary.
  • open one or more dictionaries.
  • display the elements found in a dictionary.
  • add elements into a dictionary.
  • include a dictionary element in the current application.

Displaying the "Dictionary" pane
To display the "Dictionary" pane, go to the "Home" tab, "Environment" group, expand "Panes", select "Panes", and then select "Dictionary". The icons representing the panes currently displayed have a blue background.
