Hello everyone!

I've been looking for this in this forum and although I've found similar things I couldn't find exactly the answer. Context:

I went yesterday to the Immigration Office to issue my ARC card and as I knew it takes more than a month to arrive I asked if I could have the number in the meanwhile so I can start taking advantage of it. They told me I would have it in 3 weeks through hikorea.go.kr but after looking at the website I don't really know how can I find it there, as you need the ARC number to register, ending in an endless loop.

Also, I've read around here that the number comes with the paper that they give you, and yes, there is a number (Registration number), but it's not working anywhere (I've tried all combinations with my name, spaces, order, etc). In addition, for example, Kakao QR directly says that the number is not correct, as in you are typing numbers where you should type letters way, not even allowing you to click "next".

Additionally, from what I've researched the number is a combination being the first 6 digits your birthday (YYMMDD) and then some other stuff, but my number starts with 4. So unless I'm 80 years old and I've just discovered it haha, or the number is not the ARC number or the digits/birthday info is not true or my number is wrong, but I have a colleague that went two days ago and also starts with 4, so I guess number it's ok, but it's just not the ARC one.

So, is this number just a "control" number for your receipt? And then the topic question...:

**TL:DR: Is there any way to have the ARC number before the card arrives?**

Thank you guys!
