InitialState (Property)
In french: EtatInitial
..InitialState is used to find out the initial status of a control. The initial status corresponds to the status defined during the control description ("GUI" tab).
Initial status of edit control ("GUI" tab)
Initial status of control (button for example)
Initial status of Table control ("GUI" tab)
Initial status of table column ("GUI" tab)
To find out whether a control is visible or not, use ..Visible.

Syntax
<Initial status> = <Control name>..InitialState
<Initial status>: Integer constant
Initial status of the control, defined in the editor.
ActiveThe control is active, visible and in edit
GrayedThe control is grayed
ReadOnlyNoSelectionFor the Table controls only: The control is read-only, no input is allowed.
In this case, the user will not be able to select a table row with the mouse or with the arrows. A row can only be selected by programming with TableSelectPlus. This row will be selected via the selection bar.
DisplayOnly or InactiveThe control is read-only, no input or action is allowed
For the Table controls, the user will be able to select a table row. It can also be selected by programming with TableSelectPlus.
<Control name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of control or group of controls.
Remarks

Status of a group of controls

If ..InitialState is used on a group of controls, the status returned corresponds to the initial status of the first control found in the group.

Limits

  • ..InitialState cannot be used on a menu or on a menu option.
