In french: Source
The Property HEX@
can be used on:
- a Chart control: in this case, the Property HEX@ allows to know the HEX@ of the series: Table column, list of values, ...
- a connection: In this case, the Property HEX@ allows to:
- Find out the source of a connection (HFSQL Client/Server, OLE DB, ...).
- Define the source of a connection (HFSQL Client/Server, OLE DB, etc.). In this case, if the connection is currently opened, it will be closed and reopened with the new parameters during the first access to a file that uses this connection.
Remark: From version 19, HFSQL is the new name of HyperFileSQL.
The Property Server
is equivalent to the Property Source
These two properties are kept to make the code easier to understand. Indeed, during the connection (HFSQL Client/Server, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, etc.), Server
is more appropriate because a server name must be specified.
On the other hand, when using Connection Access, XML, xBase, the Property Source makes more sense because it is necessary to indicate an HEX@.
