..FutureHeight is used to find out the height of an auto-sizable control in a report when this control is enlarged. This property is mainly used to increase the size of a control located beside an auto-sizable control (in a form report for example).
Reminder: the current height of a control is returned by ..Height.

Syntax
<Future Height> = <Control Name>..FutureHeight
<Future Height>: Integer
Height of the control (including the border) expressed in millimeters when this control is enlarged.
<Control Name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the auto-sizable control.
Remarks

Caution: mode for calculating the future height

The future height of an auto-sizable control is calculated according to the content of the control when ..FutureHeight is called. Therefore, if the property is called in the "Before printing" process of the body block, the future height of one of the controls in the body block will ignore the assignments performed by programming in the "Before printing" process of the control.

Limits

  • This property only applies to the auto-sizable controls found in the reports.
  • This property does not apply to the RTF controls.
