Syntax
<Result> = fLongPath(<File path> [, <Option>])
<Result>: Character string
  • Long name corresponding to the full path of the file or directory. If <File path> ends with the "\" character, this character is kept.
  • Empty string ("") if an error occurred (for instance, if the specified file or directory does not exist). To find out the error details, use ErrorInfo associated with the errMessage constant.
<File path>: Character string (with quotes)
Name and full (or relative) path of the file or directory (up to 260 characters). A UNC path can be used.

Remarks
Some operating systems (Windows 3.1 and earlier) do not support the long names. To find out whether a drive supports the long names, use fDriveInfo associated with the fdFileNameSize constant.
