Identifies the window that was in edit before the window that is currently in edit (for the same project). This function is used for multi-windowing.
Reminder: The current window is the window that has focus: this window is in edit and its title bar is active.
Example
// Name of the previous window
ResPreviousWin = PreviousWin()
Syntax
<Result> = PreviousWin()
<Result>: Character string
  • Name of the window that was previously in edit,
  • Alias of the window that was previously in edit (if this alias was specified when the window was opened).
  • Empty string ("") if no previous window is found or if the window previously in edit was closed before the call to PreviousWin.

Uppercase/Lowercase characters

The window name can be written in uppercase or lowercase characters. We recommend that you use the "~=" operator (flexible equality) to compare the window name returned by PreviousWin to a hard-coded window name.
For example:
IF PreviousWin() ~= "EditWindow" THEN
...
END
