Retrieves the content of a Text Memo column found in the query result, for the current line. The entire content of text memo is retrieved, regardless of its size (Reminder: SQLGetCol
only retrieves 32 KB from the character string)
: This function must be used during a "SQLFetch/SQLGetCol" browse of the query result. For more details, see Types of SQL browse
This function is useless in PHP. It is equivalent to SQLGetCol
SQLExec("SELECT LASTNAME, FIRSTNAME, EXTENSION, NOTES FROM CUSTOMER", "QRY1")
// Retrieve the data
EDT_LASTNAME = SQLGetCol("QRY1", 1)
EDT_FIRSTNAME = SQLGetCol("QRY1", 2)
EDT_EXTENSION = SQLGetCol("QRY1", 3)
// Read the text memo
EDT_NOTE = SQLGetTextMemo("QRY1", 4)
<Result> = SQLGetTextMemo(<Query name> , <Column number>)
<Result>: Character string
<Query name>: Character string
Name of the query created and executed with SQLExec (in quotation marks), or executed with SQLExecWDR (with or without quotation marks).
The queries created in the query editor must be specified in the format of a character string.
<Column number>: Integer
Number of the text memo column to retrieve. This column corresponds to a query column (and not to a table column).
To read columns other than Memo columns, use SQLGetCol
To read other types of memo columns, use SQLGetMemo
