Stops playing or recording a video sequence in a Camera control.
Example
// Stops playing the video sequence currently transmitted
// in the "CAM_Kitchen" control
ResStop = VideoStop(CAM_Kitchen, viStopDisplay)
Syntax
<Result> = VideoStop(<Camera control> [, <Action to stop>])
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the display and/or the recording in the Camera control is stopped properly,
  • False if an error occurred. To get the details of the error, use ErrorInfo.
<Camera control>: Control name
Name of the Camera control to be used.
<Action to stop>: Optional integer constant
Type of action to stop:
viStopDisplayStops displaying the video. The specified Camera control becomes empty.
viStopCaptureStops recording the video. The generated file is available.
viStopAll
(Default value)
Stops displaying and recording the video. The generated file is available. The specified Camera control becomes empty.
Remarks

Use conditions

  • WINDEVWindows To use this function, a "camera" must be connected to the current computer.

Special cases

  • To save the video being transmitted by a "Web camera", use VideoCapture
  • To display the video sequence being transmitted by a "Web camera" in a Camera control, use VideoDisplay.
