Adds a group of users. All the group characteristics must be entered in the variables for group management.
Note: From version 19, HFSQL is the new name of HyperFileSQL.

Syntax
<Result> = HAddGroup(<Connection name>)
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the group was added,
  • False if an error occurred. HError is used to identify the error.
<Connection name>: Character string (with or without quotes)
Name of the connection for which a group must be added. This connection was defined in the data model editor, or by HDescribeConnection or HOpenConnection.
Remarks

Rights required to add a group

To add a group, you must have the following rights:
  • Rights to manage the users (hRightsManageUser constant).
  • Rights to see the users (hRightsSeeUser constant).
These constants are used in HInfoServerRights and HModifyServerRights.

Managing rights

No rights are granted to a new group.
