HRefreshQuery (Function)

HFSQL Client/ServerAvailable only with this kind of connection
Creates or refreshes a query on an HFSQL server. Then, the query (.WDR file) can be used in a stored procedure on the server. Remark: From version 19, HFSQL is the new name of HyperFileSQL.

// Update the query even if there is a more recent version of the query on the server

<Result> = HRefreshQuery(<Connection> , <Query> [, <Force>])
<Result>: Boolean
  • True if the query was created or refreshed,
  • False otherwise. HError is used to identify the error.
<Connection>: Character string (with or without quotes) or Connection variable
Connection to the server on which the query must be created or refreshed. This connection corresponds to:
<Query>: Character string (with quotes)
Name of the query to create or refresh on the server.
If this parameter corresponds to "*", all the queries will be refreshed or created on the server.
<Force>: Optional boolean
  • False (default value): the query will be created or refreshed:
    • if the query is not found on the server.
    • if an earlier version of the query is found on the server.
  • True: the query will be created in any case.
